I can't seem to select or edit anything in my page. What's wrong?
Check to make sure you are not in Preview Mode - the toggle
button at the top right corner of the page should be displaying the 'paper-and-pen'
icon rather than the 'globe' icon.
I can't seem to drop anything on my page. What's wrong?
Probably the same thing - make sure you're not in Preview Mode.
Why don't I see a page proxy in my document window?
The page proxy will only appear for documents that have an associated
disk file, which is not the case for a newly created page. Save your page
and a proxy should appear.
Can I use PageMill as a browser?
No. PageMill is currently not designed to be used as a browser.
However, PageMill does have a Preview Mode that you can use to locally test
the links in your pages, including hot spots within image maps. To toggle
between edit and preview modes, use the button in the top right corner of
the page document window.
Why doesn't Preview Mode recognize the hot spot areas in my inline image?
In order for the Preview Mode to recognize hot spots, you must
not only create an image map, but also use the Attributes Inspector to set
the behavior of the inline image itself to 'Map'.
Hey! Something looks fishy on the display, or something disappeared
that shouldn't have!
There are still a few update bugs - one way to see if that's
the problem is to resize the window - this will cause a full refresh.
I moved some files around in the Finder, and now none of my links work
and the images are all gone.
Welcome to the world of web site maintenance - HTML is very
rigid internally, so that when you move a file somewhere else, you breaks
all the links to or from that file. But there is hope for this kind of problem
- stay tuned for SiteMill!
I'm running of out memory while using PageMill.
This may occur if you working with pages that contain large

The default page name uses the '.html' suffix but I need to use the '.htm'
suffix. What do I do?
Use the Preferences dialog to set the default page suffix.
I created so many Web pages with PageMill that I need a way of managing
all the links within my growing site. What can I do?
Upgrade to SiteMill when it becomes available.
